Google Workspace email signature management
- 1
Connect your domain
A super admin authorises Sendoff through domain-wide delegation. Sendoff requests read-only directory access and permission to manage Gmail signature settings, nothing else.
- 2
Sync your directory
Sendoff reads names, job titles, departments, phone numbers and photos from Google Directory. Sync runs hourly and on demand.
- 3
Design once, assign by department
Build a locked company template, then assign variants to departments. People can edit only the fields you allow.
- 4
Deploy
Sendoff updates every user’s signature through the Gmail sendAs settings API, for their primary address and every alias. A status table shows each person’s result, with retries for any that fail.
How it works under the hood
- Uses the Gmail API sendAs settings, the same place a user’s own signature lives. No transport rules, no mail routing.
- Scopes: admin.directory.user.readonly and gmail.settings.basic.
- New hires found by directory sync get a signature automatically; leavers are archived.
- If someone edits their signature in Gmail, the next deployment restores the approved version.
