CEO email signature: examples and what to include

A chief executive’s email gets forwarded to investors, boards, journalists and new hires. The signature should confirm who you are in two lines and point to one thing that matters this quarter, nothing more.

Example with fictional details

What to include

  • Full name and the exact title you use publicly
  • Company name and website
  • One direct phone number, or an assistant’s contact
  • LinkedIn, if you post there
  • Optionally one link: the latest announcement, report or hiring page

Tips that make a difference

Keep it shorter than your team’s
A plain, restrained signature reads as confident. Skip quotes, slogans and long lists of awards.
Route scheduling elsewhere
If an assistant manages your diary, list their name and email instead of a booking link.
Use the company template
Your signature sets the standard. Use the same locked template as everyone else so the brand looks deliberate.
Rotate the one link
Swap the highlighted link when there is news: a funding round, a product launch, a careers page.
