It builds a formatted signature for Mail on macOS. Fill in your details, press Copy signature in Safari or Chrome, and paste it into the Signatures settings in Mail. Your fonts, colours, links and images come across, as long as one setting is switched off first.
That setting is “Always match my default message font”. While it is ticked, Mail applies your default message font to the signature and your design is lost, so untick it before you paste. Images can look missing in the settings pane even when they are fine; send yourself a test email to check.
On iPhone and iPad, Apple’s own guide says Mail signatures are text only. Formatting sometimes survives a paste, but a logo usually does not. Our iPhone guide explains the options.
macOS · About a minute
Copy your signature. Press “Copy signature” in Sendoff (use Safari or Chrome).
Open Mail settings. In Mail choose Mail, Settings, then the Signatures tab.
Create a signature. Select your account, click + and name it.
Paste. Untick “Always match my default message font”, then paste into the right-hand pane.
Choose it. Pick it in the “Choose Signature” menu and close settings.
Images can look missing in the settings pane; send yourself a test email to check.
iOS · About a minute
Open the signature on your phone. Use “Send install instructions to my email” and open the link on your iPhone.
Copy. Tap “Copy signature”.
Open settings. Go to Settings, Apps, Mail, then Signature.
Paste. Clear the default text and paste. If formatting drops, shake the phone and choose Undo to restore it.
The “Always match my default message font” option applies your default message font to the signature. Untick it before you paste and the signature keeps the fonts it was built with.
The settings pane does not always load remote images. Send yourself a test email: if the logo shows in the received message, the signature is fine.
Partly. Apple’s guide for iPhone says Mail signatures are text only, so images are not supported there. Formatting sometimes survives when you paste, but logos usually don’t.
If you use iCloud Drive, Mail can make your signatures available on your other Macs. They are not copied to iPhone or iPad, so set those up separately.
Yes. Making and copying a signature here costs nothing, with no time limit. Free signatures end with a small “Made with Sendoff” line, which the Solo plan removes.
No. Fill in the form and copy your signature without signing up. Create a free account only to save your signature for later edits or to try a PRO template.
