Remove the “Get Outlook for iOS” signature on your phone

Outlook for iPhone and Android adds a Get Outlook line to every message by default. Clear the Signature field in the app’s Settings to remove it.

Outlook for iPhone and Android adds "Get Outlook for iOS" or "Get Outlook for Android" to the end of your messages by default. To remove it, open Settings in the app, tap Signature, and delete the text. Leave the box empty to send without a signature, or type your own.

Why does "Get Outlook" show up in my emails?

Microsoft's accessibility guide says the message appears at the end of your emails as your signature by default. The app keeps it in the same Signature field you use for your own text, so clearing that field is the fix.

How do I remove it on iPhone or iPad?

  1. Open the Outlook app and open the navigation pane from the menu button.
  2. Tap Settings, then tap Signature.
  3. Delete the text in the Signature box, or type your own.
  4. Go back to the inbox. Send a test message to yourself to check the result.

The screen-reader guide names these controls as "Show navigation pane," "Settings" and "Signature," so use those labels if the layout has moved.

How do I remove it on Android?

  1. Open the navigation drawer and tap Settings.
  2. Tap "Change your default signature," the item that shows your current signature.
  3. Tap Edit signature, then delete the text or type your own.
  4. Tap Save, then go back to the inbox.

These steps follow Microsoft's TalkBack guide for Outlook on Android.

How do I set a different signature for each account?

Under Mail, tap Signature. Turn on Per Account Signature and enter a signature for each account. Microsoft's help page says these steps apply to both Outlook for iOS and Outlook for Android.

What do the forum answers get wrong?

Replacing the line with your name may not work. A Microsoft Q&A question from 2018, marked "Same question (300+)," describes a user who swapped the text for their name and still got "Get Outlook for Android" after sending. The only reply that reports success says an empty signature worked. Clear the box completely, then send a test.

Some third-party guides give menu names that Microsoft's help pages never mention. Follow the labels above. If your screen differs, check Microsoft's current Outlook mobile help rather than a vendor article.

Logos and HTML often do not survive on the phone. A 2023 Microsoft Q&A thread with five answers, locked after migration, reports that pasted images disappear, and the copy-and-paste workaround in it loses web-hosted images. Microsoft's steps only describe typing into the Signature box, so plan on a plain-text signature for the phone.

Do not count on a signature set in Outlook on the web to carry over to the phone either. Microsoft's mobile steps have you set the app signature separately, and a 2022 Microsoft Tech Community thread asks why a web signature did not show when using Outlook from a phone.

If the line comes back after you clear it, ask your IT team whether a managed phone setup or an add-in is adding it.

How Sendoff handles this

Sendoff does not write into the Outlook app, so it cannot change what the app keeps. The Copy button puts an HTML version and a plain-text version on the clipboard. The app's Signature box takes typed text, and the threads above report that it drops images and HTML. For the phone, type the plain lines yourself: name, title, phone and website. For desktop and web Outlook, follow the Outlook install guide and paste the full signature from the free email signature generator.
